Job Summary
Perform maintenance service and repairs on diesel trucks and engines, utilizing electronic diagnostic tools and computer software to repair heavy-duty truck engines, braking, electrical, cooling, and exhaust systems. Inspect, operate, or test equipment to diagnose malfunctions and determine corrective actions while maintaining appropriate records of activities and upholding a high standard of safety, cleanliness, and efficiency. This role supports Jarrett Fleet Services' professional fleet services, including emergency fleet repair and annual DOT compliance inspections, offering first-shift Monday-to-Friday hours with comprehensive benefits like tool reimbursement and tuition assistance.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years experience preferred
- Graduate of a mechanical trade school or vocational school preferred
- Advanced knowledge of methods, tools, and equipment utilized in diesel repair
- Skilled in the operation of power tools and machinery
- Safety certifications preferred
- Ability to read and interpret documents
- Basic math and measurement skills
