Job Summary
Lead Diesel Technician responsible for overseeing the comprehensive preventive maintenance program, providing ongoing technician development, and streamlining operational practices. Oversees complex vehicle diagnostics and repairs; performs road tests when needed. Supervises shop technicians, conducts daily huddles, performance evaluations, and assists with hiring decisions. Manages inventory control, approves expenses within scope, schedules fleet maintenance, and ensures safety regulations compliance. Works toward ASE certification programs and participates in budgeting and special projects. Requires 5+ years of diesel/auto maintenance experience, valid driver’s license with willingness to obtain CDL, strong computer skills, and ASE certifications preferred. Monday–Friday day shift; $28/hour with potential to increase by up to $2/hour through ASE testing; company training provided; located in West Point, MS with opportunities across 540+ locations.”,
Required Qualifications
- At least 5 years of diesel or automotive maintenance & repair experience or technical school education
- Previous experience in a lead technician, supervisor, or other management role is preferred
- Valid driver’s license required; Willingness to obtain CDL while employed – Paid company training provided
- Strong computer skills
- Possess a mechanic’s tool set
- ASE certifications are preferred
