Diesel Technician III

Diesel Technician III needed for a day shift opening to repair and maintain diesel trucks. Responsibilities include performing duties of Technician I/II, recording parts usage, tagging parts for warranty, following a troubleshooting tree to diagnose and repair codes, diagnosing and repairing oil and coolant leaks, drivelines, fuel systems, EGR/ATD/DPF/turbos, body control systems, and truck electronic systems; must understand APUs for basic repairs and follow troubleshooting procedures. Preferred credentials include 3-5 years of experience as a Diesel Technician, 609 and Air Brake Certifications, CDL a plus, ASE Diesel Certification a plus, and certifications from Detroit/Cummins/Volvo/MX. Educational/experience requirements emphasize a one-year college/technical certificate or ASE Diesel Certification or related experience. Physical demands include lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing, and exposure to moving parts, fumes, extreme conditions, and noise. Located in Kansas City, KS, USA (Kansas Avenue RTI).
