Job Summary
Technician III is a master of all aspects of preventative maintenance on heavy-duty vehicles, performs advanced diagnostics and repairs, trains other technicians, inspects orders for quality, and ensures timely completion. Responsibilities include diagnosing vehicle system failures, servicing brakes (air, hydraulic, electric), suspension issues, electrical systems, exhaust, air conditioning, PTOs, engine overhauls, fuel tanks, fifth wheels, trailers, welding, and component replacements. The role requires Diesel Technology associates degree and 7+ years of experience with class 7 & 8 trucks, plus ability to train others, with tools and PPE provided. Work is conducted in a non-climate controlled shop in Houston, TX, with a focus on safety and quality.
Required Qualifications
- Diesel Technology Associates degree
- 7+ years of experience with class 7 & 8 trucks
- Experience repairing 53’ trailers
- Must provide hand tools, air tools, and toolbox
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to train Technicians
- Welding experience
- Diagnostic experience
