Job Summary

Examine vehicles to determine damage or malfunctions, then perform routine and scheduled maintenance services such as oil changes, lubrications, and filter replacements. Repair, reline, replace, and adjust brakes, suspension systems, electrical systems, exhaust systems, steering systems, and custom exhaust systems. Troubleshoot and repair fuel tanks, fifth wheels, trailer hitches, pintle hooks, auxiliary axles, and frames. Perform tandem alignment, front axle king pin and bushing repairs, and basic aluminum and steel wire welding. Utilize machinery to repair or fabricate driveshafts, file, grind, and smooth repaired surfaces, and remove upholstery to gain access to vehicle bodies. Maintain an 80% productivity rate, prevent comebacks, and keep a clean, organized workspace while adhering to a perfect safety record.

Required Qualifications

  • Diesel Technology Associates degree
  • 3 + years of experience with class 7 & 8 trucks
  • Experience repairing 53' trailers
  • Airbrake certified
  • Ability to lift 50lbs
