Job Summary
Maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of Hogan tractor and truck equipment, including preventive maintenance and DOT inspections. Diagnoses and repairs brakes (hydraulic, air, disc), electrical systems, clutches, HVAC systems, gauges, steering, wheels, tires, and batteries. Identifies parts for repair and replaces components; removes faulty parts and installs new or reconditioned ones. Road tests vehicles to diagnose issues and ensure safe operation. Uses hydraulic jacks and various hand/tools; knowledge of welding and Oxy/Acetylene cutting procedures. Requires teamwork and strong communication; physical duties and shop environment apply.
Required Qualifications
- High school education or GED
- In-depth knowledge of all hand, air and power tools required for this industry
- Basic understanding and knowledge of welding and Oxy/Acetylene cutting procedures
- Overall complete knowledge with comprehensive truck/trailer repair
- Extensive diagnostic and repair knowledge
- Clean MVR
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
