Job Summary
Provide required maintenance, including diagnosis and repair for Hogan tractor and truck equipment. Perform preventive maintenance and DOT inspections using correct procedures. Diagnose and repair systems including braking, electrical, air conditioning, steering, and wheels using hand and power tools. Identify parts for repair, remove broken components, and replace them with new or reconditioned parts. Road test vehicles to diagnose issues and ensure safe operation. Use hydraulic jacks to raise equipment. Requires a high school education, in-depth knowledge of tools, welding understanding, comprehensive truck repair knowledge, extensive diagnostic skills, clean MVR, and ability to work in a team environment. Shop work environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school education or GED
- In-depth knowledge of all hand, air and power tools required for this industry
- Basic understanding and knowledge of welding and Oxy/Acetylene cutting procedures
- Overall complete knowledge with comprehensive truck/trailer repair
- Extensive diagnostic and repair knowledge
- Clean MVR
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
