Job Summary
Diesel Technician responsible for safely operating, repairing, rebuilding, and maintaining company-owned or leased heavy-duty diesel trucks and equipment, including heavy diesel, CNG, gas, and electrically operated devices. Roles include diagnosing operational issues, performing repairs, planning and procuring parts, completing work orders, maintaining safety compliance, training new employees, and staying current with technical manuals and training. Overtime and a 3pm–1am shift with a $2 shift differential are part of the schedule; benefits include PTO, tool allowance, boot reimbursement, 401K, and health benefits. Must have at least a high school diploma (GED) and one year of diesel mechanic experience; familiarity with diagnostic software and data entry is a plus; strong focus on safety, accuracy, and continuous learning.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; technical diploma desired
- Minimum of one (1) year experience as a diesel mechanic
- Experience using diagnostic software a plus
- Must be computer literate and willing to learn software systems
- Able to meet safety sensitive criteria
- Ability to operate vehicles and equipment
- Strong communication and record-keeping skills
