Job Summary
Perform diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance on diesel engines, aftertreatment systems, brakes, electrical systems, and tires for heavy-duty trucks and trailers. Conduct DOT inspections and strictly adhere to shop procedures while working on over-the-road Class 8 semi-trucks and trailers. Utilize own tools to address air brake systems and electrical issues, ensuring all work meets safety standards and company protocols. Schedule includes first shift (Monday–Friday, 7am–3:30pm) and second shift (Monday–Friday, 3pm–11:30pm) with optional Saturday coverage. Wages range from $20 to $30 hourly with a sign-on bonus and experience bonus. Required Qualifications
- Driver's License
- Must have own tools
- 1 year Auto, diesel or heavy equipment repair experience
- Degree from a trade school diesel or automotive program
- Ability to display knowledge of the diagnosis and proper repair of diesel and gas engines
- Ability to display knowledge of air brake systems
- Ability to display knowledge of electrical systems
- Strong work ethic
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Effective customer service skills
- Willingness to train
- Visual acuity to operate machines and motor vehicles
- Visual acuity for visual inspection involving small to large defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines and motor vehicles
- Visual acuity for using measurement devices
- Visual acuity for assembly or fabrication of parts at distances close to the eye
- Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force frequently to lift, push, pull, or otherwise move objects
- Ability to exert 100+ lbs on an occasional basis
- Ability to stand, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch and reach for sustained periods of time
- Ability to work in extreme weather conditions
- Ability to shout above ambient noise level
