Job Summary
Perform comprehensive diagnoses and repairs across all areas of vehicle maintenance with advanced diagnostic abilities and specialized proficiency. Execute work outlined on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy while communicating with the parts department and service advisor regarding additional needs or delays. Document all performed and recommended work, road test vehicles when required, and maintain accountability for dealership tools and manuals. Train and mentor other diesel technicians while attending assigned company training to maintain 100% efficiency or higher. Report machinery defects to the supervisor and assist in other repairs as needed.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years related experience and/ or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- OEM Certifications Required to come in at this level
- Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds
- Must be able to frequently work in a crouched position or lying on the back, on mechanic's dolly beneath motor vehicles
- Must be able to reach and work overhead approximately 40% of the time
- Must be able to operate all tools and equipment in a safe manner
- Must attend and complete all company training as assigned
