Job Summary
Diagnose causes of malfunctions and perform comprehensive repairs across all vehicle maintenance areas, specializing in diesel systems. Execute work on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy, communicating with the parts department and service advisors as needed. Document all performed and recommended work, road test vehicles when required, and maintain accountability for dealership tools and manuals. Train and mentor other technicians while attending assigned company training. Maintain 100% efficiency or higher and report machinery defects to the supervisor.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years related experience and/ or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- OEM Certifications Required to come in at this level
- Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds
- Must be able to frequently work in a crouched position or lying on the back, on mechanic's dolly beneath motor vehicles
- Must be able to reach and work overhead approximately 40% of the time
- Must be able to operate all tools and equipment in a safe manner
