Job Summary
Conduct heavy truck, equipment, and fleet maintenance on rental/leasing fleets, forklifts, generators, or automobiles. Perform oil changes and tire service while retaining learned skills to apply them quickly. Supply standard diesel technician tools and utilize diagnostic software with basic computer proficiency to troubleshoot complex issues. Maintain a clean Motor Vehicle Record and work assigned shifts and overtime as needed. Prioritize quality work efficiency and problem-solving to succeed in this growing dealership.
Required Qualifications
- Prior experience and/or formal education in diesel truck, vehicle/automotive, or equipment repair
- Must supply standard diesel technician tools
- Basic proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Office and diagnostic software
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot complex issues
- Valid Driver's License with a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
- Must be able to work assigned shifts and overtime as needed
- Must pass all pre-employment screenings, which include a background check and drug test upon offer acceptance
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Freightliner, Detroit, or Cummins engine repair
- DTNA training and certifications
- Class A CDL with a valid medical card
