Diesel Technician Apprentice-Paid Training

Technician Apprentice program trains an entry-level diesel technician over two years with on-the-job training, mentorship, and coverage of electrical diagnosis, air systems, brakes, hydraulics, wheel-end components, and preventive maintenance. The apprenticeship starts with nine weeks of company-paid training at the Republic Services Technical Institute in Dallas, TX, followed by twenty-two months of on-the-job training toward Apprentice certification as an entry-level Diesel Mechanic. Pathways for accelerated progression to a Level C Technician exist. The program includes leadership development and a focus on safety, ethics, and professional values, with dedicated mentorship and eventual placement in a Republic Services shop nationwide and guaranteed consideration for full-time technician roles upon graduation.
