Job Summary
Conduct electrical, air, and wheel end diagnostics and repairs while assisting customers with roadside services and learning preventative maintenance. Perform parts lookup and acquisition, maintaining clean facilities and interacting with drivers to improve their travel experience. Work a rotating day and night schedule, lifting 75+ pounds in close quarters while complying with safety policies to ensure customer satisfaction. Obtain a medical card through the Department of Transportation. This apprenticeship program teaches comprehensive vehicle systems including charging systems, air brakes, and auxiliary components within Love's Travel Stops and Country Stores, a family-owned business fueling journeys since 1964.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to move, lift 75+ pounds working in close quarters
- Ability to work in various temperatures
- Ability to obtain a medical card through the Department of Transportation
