Job Summary
Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on medium- to heavy-duty fleet vehicles while diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues. Conduct inspections to ensure vehicles meet safety and compliance standards, then accurately document repairs and complete work orders. Maintain a clean and organized work area, including your tools and equipment, while following all safety procedures and company policies. Collaborate with supervisors and team members to support fleet operations. This role requires 5+ years of hands-on experience performing diesel vehicle maintenance and repairs, strong diagnostic skills, and a valid driver's license. Work in a mobile or shop environment with exposure to dust, diesel fumes, and mechanical irritants, involving physical demands such as lifting heavy objects and crawling. Required Qualifications
- 5+ years' of hands-on experience performing diesel vehicle maintenance and repairs
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to own and maintain the personal tools and toolbox required for the role
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Willingness and ability to meet the physical demands of the position
- Must be eligible to pass standard pre-employment screenings, including drug screen and DOT physical (if required)
- Must be able to lift heavy objects
- Must be able to access tight spaces
- Must be able to bend, stooping, crouching, or crawling as needed to complete repairs
