Job Summary
Diesel Mechanic/Technician responsible for repairing and maintaining diesel engines and components in various vehicles and equipment. Diagnose complex diesel engine conditions and perform necessary repairs. Communicate effectively with peers, foreman, and service team regarding repairs. Perform quality control to ensure maximum customer satisfaction. Keep paperwork updated and submitted upon completion. Meet requirements for certifications. Requires a valid driver's license (CDL holders bonus). Knowledge of Detroit Diesel engines (GHG17) and other engines (Cummins, CAT, International) is valued. Other mechanical skills such as hydraulics, brakes & suspension, manual/automatic transmissions, drive train are a plus. Must be physically capable of lifting and working; a technical degree or certification is a plus. Own set of general tools required. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Driver's license
- Must possess an excellent understanding of Detroit Diesel engines through the current GHG17 product
- Experience with other diesel engine platforms such as Cummins, CAT, & International are a plus
- Must have own set of general tools
