Job Summary
Inspect mechanical components of vehicles to identify problems and overhaul heavy-duty engines, clutches, transmissions, and various systems used on medium and heavy-duty trucks. Responsibilities include performing preventative maintenance, submitting technical reports, operating transportation equipment, troubleshooting system operation problems, and complying with safety regulations. Candidates should possess a High School diploma or equivalent, have 0-5 years of diesel mechanic experience, hold a valid driver's license with the ability to obtain a CDL, and demonstrate strong communication and teamwork skills.
Required Qualifications
- Diesel mechanic 0-5 years' experience
- High School diploma/GED equivalence
- Valid driver's license
- CDL license or ability to obtain one
- Strong diagnostic aptitude
- Communication skills
- Teamwork
- Dependable and reliable attendance
- Owning your own hand tools is a plus
- Eagerness to learn
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
