Job Summary
Diagnose and repair Hogan tractor and truck equipment, including all components such as braking, electrical, steering, and climate control systems. Perform preventive maintenance and DOT inspections using established procedures and hand or power tools. Remove broken parts and replace them with new or reconditioned components, then road test vehicles to verify safe operation. Utilize hydraulic jacks to raise equipment and identify specific parts or systems requiring repair. Requires high school education, comprehensive truck/trailer repair knowledge, and a clean MVR. Work in a shop environment with physical demands including lifting up to 100 lbs and climbing.
Required Qualifications
- High school education or GED
- In-depth knowledge of all hand, air and power tools required for this industry
- Basic understanding and knowledge of welding and Oxy/Acetylene cutting procedures
- Overall complete knowledge with comprehensive truck/trailer repair
- Extensive diagnostic and repair knowledge
- Clean MVR
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
