Job Summary
Full-time 2nd shift Diesel Technician in Buffalo, NY, responsible for preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repair on medium and heavy-duty vehicles. Perform scheduled inspections, complete repair orders, communicate with supervisor and customers, stay current on technical and regulatory requirements, and perform road service calls as needed. Requires 5+ years in automotive/truck/bus repair, HS diploma or technical schooling, own tools, valid DL; NY inspector certificate preferred. Offers include certification reimbursement, training (factory and paid), sign-on bonus for highly qualified technicians, medical/dental, 401k match, PTO, uniform/boot program, and shift differential.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, technical school or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the field of automotive, truck or bus repair
- Own & maintain the proper hand tools to perform job functions
- Proficient with computer operation/usage
- Valid driver’s license
- A New York State motor vehicle inspector certificate is preferred but not required
