Diesel Technician - 2nd Shift

Job Summary
Inspect mechanical components, overhaul heavy-duty engines and transmissions, and install engines, transmissions, and other components. Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot equipment or systems operation problems, and rewire electrical or electronic systems. Replace worn, damaged, or defective mechanical parts, align equipment or machinery, and operate transportation equipment to demonstrate function or malfunction. Submit complete technical reports and documentation as required by manufacturers, tag warranty parts, and complete all work orders in a timely manner. Comply with safety and EPA regulations while ensuring labor and parts are charged to appropriate work order lines. Work the 2nd shift (2:00 PM - 10:30 PM) Monday through Friday.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma/GED equivalence
- Strong diagnostic aptitude
- Valid driver's license
- CDL license or ability to obtain one
- Communication skills
- Teamwork
- Dependable and reliable attendance
- Eagerness to learn
- Professionalism
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
- Must undergo a pre-employment drug screening
- Must pass a pre-employment background check

- AC certification
- Engine certification(s)
- Formal education
- Owning own hand tools
