Diesel Technician - $1000 Sign-on Bonus

Job Summary
Conduct inspections, test drives, and diagnostic tests to determine fleet vehicle conditions. Make adjustments, alignments, and repairs to correct deficiencies while testing engine safety and combustion control standards. Complete preventative maintenance, install upgrades, check tires and suspension, and record all service and repairs. Troubleshoot breakdowns, maintain shop supplies, and collaborate with the team to keep operations running. Stay current on industry advances through publications, peer discussions, and continuing education. Requires vocational training, 1-3 years of experience, and a good driving record. ASE certification and experience with Freightliner, Volvo, Mack, and International trucks are preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Good driving record
- Over 21 years old
- Vocational training in Diesel Mechanics or equivalent experience
- 1-3 years of experience in related field
- Proven knowledge of engine components
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work with a team
Desired Qualifications
- ASE Certification
- Experience working on Freightliner, Volvo, Mack and International Trucks
- Certification (for truck experience)
- TWIC
- CDL License
