Job Summary

Conduct preventive maintenance and DOT inspections on tractors and trucks using established procedures. Diagnose and repair hydraulic, air, electrical, and steering systems by removing broken parts and replacing them with new or reconditioned components. Road test vehicles to verify safe operation and ensure all systems function correctly. Utilize hand, air, and power tools, including hydraulic jacks, to perform comprehensive repairs on braking, clutch, and heating systems. Requires 3-6 years of Diesel Tech experience, a clean MVR, and ownership of a complete tool set.

Required Qualifications

  • High school education or GED
  • In-depth knowledge of all hand, air and power tools required for this industry
  • Basic understanding and knowledge of welding and Oxy/Acetylene cutting procedures
  • Overall complete knowledge with comprehensive truck/trailer repair
  • Extensive diagnostic and repair knowledge
  • 3-6 years Diesel Tech experience
  • Clean MVR
  • Own set of tools
