Diesel Shop Technician

Job Summary

Operate and inspect heavy equipment to diagnose defects, then service hydraulic propulsion systems and control circuits to maintain reliability. Examine parts for damage using micrometers and gauges, while cleaning, lubricating, and performing routine maintenance on vehicles. Adjust, maintain, and replace assemblies using hand tools, jacks, and cranes. Possess working knowledge of diesel emission engines up to Tier 4 final, proper tools for plant mobile equipment, and the ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics. Fabrication experience required.

Required Qualifications

  • working knowledge of levels of diesel emission engines up to Teir4 final for servicing, maintaining and repair
  • proper tools for performing routine maintenance and repairs to all plant mobile equipment material handling machinery
  • ability to read, understand and utilize operating/maintenance/repair manuals, blueprints, technical drawings and schematics
  • Fabrication Experience
