Job Summary
Perform preventative and repair maintenance on diesel and non-diesel equipment, including chassis, refuse bodies, control systems, hydraulic electrical, air brake, engine, HVAC, suspension, and drive train components. Diagnose multi-system malfunctions using electronic tools and safely provide road service to return company equipment to operation. Execute line maintenance welding and fabrication as needed while completing applicable training programs. Work a regular shift from 11 am to 7:30 pm supporting drivers on routes with state-of-the-art equipment.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to diagnose multi-system issues and consistently demonstrate technical expertise
- Basic understanding of work order labor time standards
- Prior experience with, or knowledge of, maintenance work to be performed on Classes 1-5 light/medium duty and heavy-duty Class 7-8 trucks, aircraft, or ships
- 3-5 Years of experience in a technician position demonstrating knowledge of both gasoline and diesel-powered equipment diagnosis and repair or graduating from an accredited automotive college or technical school within the next 3 months
- Valid Driver's License
