Job Summary
Maintain and repair chassis components, refuse bodies, control systems, hydraulic and electrical systems, air brakes, and general engine work on diesel and non-diesel equipment and trucks. Perform line maintenance welding, fabrication, and basic tire work including replacement, rotation, and tread checks. Diagnose multi-system malfunctions using electronic tools and safely provide road service to return equipment to operation. Complete applicable company training programs and perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to diagnose multi-system issues and consistently demonstrate technical expertise
- Basic understanding of work order labor time standards
- Prior experience with, or knowledge of, maintenance work to be performed on Classes 1-5 light/medium duty and heavy-duty Class 7-8 trucks, aircraft, or ships
- 3-5 Years of experience in a technician position demonstrating knowledge of both gasoline and diesel-powered equipment diagnosis and repair or graduating from an accredited automotive college or technical school within the next 3 months
- Valid Driver's License
