Job Summary
Perform heavy-duty mechanical repair under general supervision, including engine overhauls, fuel system work, and transmission maintenance with minimal supervision. Troubleshoot minor problems on major components while maintaining a neat working area and adhering to strict safety practices. Assist the Shop Foreman on additional repair tasks and attend required training sessions to achieve Service Journeyman status. This safety-sensitive role involves operating and repairing heavy equipment and motor vehicles.
Required Qualifications
- A/C, Brake and DOT Annual Inspector Certifications required
- Minimum three years hands-on experience or graduate of vocational courses
Desired Qualifications
- CDL preferred
