Diesel Service Technician

Job Summary
Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems by performing work specified on repair orders with diagnostic tools and special service equipment. Test drive vehicles and components while executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications. Communicate directly with the Service Advisor to inform customers of additional service needs and provide time estimates for repairs. Collaborate with the parts department and operate electronic diagnostic equipment. Requires at least two years of auto technician experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to sit, stand, and walk for long periods in varying environmental conditions including noise and fumes.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 2 years of experience as an auto technician
- Knowledge in all aspects of automotive repair and maintenance
- Fast, eager learner and team player
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong customer service skills
- Computer skills and willingness to learn new problems
- Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
- Clean driving record & valid driver's license
- MEDIUM to HEAVY in intensity
