Job Summary
Diesel Service Technician role responsible for repair and diagnosis of medium and heavy-duty trucks and trailers (engines, power trains, electrical, steering, electronics, brakes, suspension); identify parts for repair; perform preventive maintenance; document warrantable repairs; road test to verify repairs; complete technical reports; participate in rotating shifts including evenings and Saturdays; collaborate in a team and maintain organized workspace while adhering to company policies; requires college certification for Truck & Transport or Heavy Equipment Service Technician (Block 3 completion), ability to lift up to 50 lbs, ongoing training to obtain license, clean driving record and criminal background check, and at least 4 years service experience.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of a College certification for Truck & Transport OR Heavy Equipment Service Technician- MINIMUM BLOCK 3 COMPLETION
- Ability to lift and move a maximum 50 lbs, (or in accordance to provincial workplace health & safety standards)
- Willing and able to continue training to obtain and license.
- Clean Driver’s abstract and Criminal Reference check
- Basic computer skills with the ability to work in Windows based software
- Minimum 4 years experience in a Service environment.
