Job Summary
As a Diesel Engine Mechanic, you will diagnose and perform repairs on diesel and natural gas engines, remove/install/disassemble/recondition Caterpillar power units and generator sets, conduct system testing, adjustments, and failure analysis, and troubleshoot electronic, hydraulic, and fuel system components in a fast-paced shop environment. This role supports oil & gas, oilfield, pipeline, and manufacturing sectors and requires tools on-site, with opportunities for growth and comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Must own tools required to perform necessary repairs
- High school diploma or GED required
- Associate’s degree or technical school certificate preferred
- Previous mechanic or military experience
- Familiarity with Caterpillar power units, generator systems, and fuel systems
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic, electronic, and engine systems
- Ability to perform diagnostics, repairs, and technical troubleshooting independently
