Job Summary
Mobile Diesel Technician responsible for traveling to customer worksites to diagnose and repair trucks and equipment, performing electrical and diagnostic services, reading repair orders, installing engine components and other parts, inspecting safety devices, lubricating and testing repaired vehicles, advising service staff on additional repairs, and maintaining a clean, safe work environment while following safety procedures; must have hands-on diesel/automotive repair knowledge, tool proficiency, and at least 1–2 years of relevant experience.
Required Qualifications
- 1-2 years minimum work experience as a Medium and/or Heavy Diesel Technician
- Valid driver’s license
- Must possess a full set of personal hand tools
- Must have, or be able to develop through training, a detailed knowledge of commercial truck and engine repair
- Must have successfully completed appropriate diesel/ automotive certificate programs in repairs and service, or equivalent hands-on experience
- Able to use a personal computer and basic applications
- Minimum of High School Diploma/ GED, Vocational or Technical certification in vehicle repair is preferred
