Job Summary
Inspect, diagnose, and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems on diesel equipment and CNG trucks. Estimate time and material costs for repairs, perform work within Standard Labor Repair Times, and respond to emergency service calls. Conduct safety checks on vehicles and maintain a clean work area complying with OSHA standards. Complete required paperwork documenting parts usage and repair times, while assisting senior mechanics on project work. Review and complete repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports.
Required Qualifications
- 2 years of relevant work experience
- A valid drivers license, with a clean driving record
- Be over 18 years of age
- Legally eligible to work in the United States
- Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations
- Successfully complete and pass pre-employment drug screen and physical
- Required to exert physical effort that will include but is not limited to frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, crouching, and climbing
- Required to be exposed to physical occupational risks (such as cuts, burns, exposure to toxic chemicals, etc.) often
- Required to be exposed to physical environment which involves dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes or similar elements often
- This job operates in both inside garage, shop or gas plant conditions as well as in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity
- Monday – Friday every week (Two Saturdays, a month)
- 3:00 pm-1:00 am
