Job Summary
Diesel Mechanic responsible for repairing and maintaining heavy machinery used in milling and paving projects. Duties include performing preventive maintenance (engine tune-ups, oil changes, tire rotations, filter replacements), diagnosing and repairing electrical and mechanical systems, replacing parts, ordering parts from vendors, and ensuring safety and OSHA compliance. Must operate and test equipment, work from service orders or directions, maintain a clean and organized shop, and work effectively in a team. Must have own tools. Preferred credentials include valid Class B CDL and Medical card, and a High School diploma or GED.-US work authorization required.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED preferred
- 1-3+ years experience with heavy truck repair and construction or utility equipment
- Valid driver’s license, Class B CDL and Medical card preferred
- Proven work experience as a Diesel or Heavy Equipment Mechanic
- Knowledge of electrical diagnostics, hydraulics, drive train, controls, and D.O.T inspections
- Able to provide documentation of right to work in the United States
- Own tools
