Job Summary
Service and maintain a fleet of Volvo, Mack, Freightliner, and Isuzu reefer trucks, conducting inspections and test drives to confirm repair quality. Perform hands-on repairs on diesel engines while safely lifting and handling heavy components. Maintain detailed service records and repair logs, and keep shop equipment clean and running smoothly. Requires CDL Class A or B with a clean driving record, Medical Examiner's Certificate, and willingness to obtain EPA 609 or welding certifications. Shifts run Tuesday through Saturday and Sunday through Thursday from 1pm to 9pm. Compensation ranges from $35 to $40 per hour plus up to $10.50 per hour in premiums for Class A, Class B, welding, and EPA 609.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to demonstrate skill level based on experience
- Ability to safely lift and handle heavy components and meet the physical demands of a hands-on role
- Ability to conduct inspections and test drives to confirm repair quality on various motor vehicles
- CDL Class A or B (or willingness to obtain) with a clean driving record
- Ability to obtain a Medical Examiner's Certificate
- Must pass a drug test due to operation of commercial motor vehicle
- Ability to maintain detailed service records and repair logs
- Commitment to keeping shop equipment clean, safe, and running smoothly
