Job Summary
Perform scheduled maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on cranes, forklifts, and trucks while documenting all work and filing records properly. Operate motor vehicles following all State and Federal laws and safety policies. Supply your own tools from an up-to-date inventory and communicate safety issues to customers and co-workers before and during tasks. Work with minimal supervision, reporting to the supervisor or lead mechanic upon completion of assignments. Some evenings and weekends are required.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- At least (2) years' experience as a mechanic in an automotive, trucking or heavy equipment environment
- Ability to safely lift over 40 lbs.
- Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check
- Must have a valid Driver's License
- Ability to work some evenings and weekends at the shop
- Must be able to verbally communicate Safety issues to Customers and co-workers on location before and during job task.
Desired Qualifications
- At least (2) years' experience as a mechanic in an automotive, trucking or heavy equipment environment, or any equivalent combination of education and experience is a plus
- Trade school diploma preferred
- Understand electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic circuits a plus
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Hydraulics, electronics, and mechanical crane troubleshooting
