Job Summary
Conduct scheduled maintenance and repairs on trucks, cranes, forklifts, and other equipment. Document all maintenance and repairs performed, file records properly, and troubleshoot hydraulics, electronics, and mechanical crane systems. Supply your own tools with up-to-date inventory while communicating safety issues to customers and co-workers on location. Work some evenings and weekends at the shop with minimal supervision, reporting to the Supervisor or Lead Mechanic upon task completion.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- At least (2) years' experience as a mechanic in an automotive, trucking or heavy equipment environment
- Ability to safely lift over 40 lbs.
- Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check
- Must have a valid Driver's License
- Ability to work some evenings and weekends at the shop
- Must be able to verbally communicate Safety issues to Customers and co-workers on location before and during job task.
Desired Qualifications
- Any equivalent combination of education and experience
- Trade school diploma
- Understand electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic circuits
