Diesel Mechanic

Job Summary
Perform maintenance, preventive maintenance, and minor repairs on rental equipment and tools involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems. Maintain paperwork and electronic documentation of work performed on a daily basis. Demonstrate a wide array of complex equipment for customers and assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment and parts. This role requires a high school diploma, valid driver's license, and 1-2 years of experience repairing vehicles and equipment. The position is safety-sensitive. United Rentals is the world's largest equipment rental provider with locations across North America, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
- 1-2 years of experience repairing/maintaining vehicles and equipment; or trade school graduate
- Must own tools applicable to position
- Basic understanding of schematics and diagrams
- Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills
- Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.
