Diesel Mechanic

Job Summary
Perform maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on a variety of rental and customer equipment and tools with a high degree of independent judgment. Travel to customer job sites for repair/maintenance when required; maintain a clean, professional service vehicle. Assist in training lower level technicians as needed. Maintain paperwork and electronic work orders daily. Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment and parts. Other duties assigned as needed. This role emphasizes customer service, teamwork, safety, and technical proficiency in servicing complex equipment.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
- 5+ years of experience repairing/maintaining equipment and tools
- Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools
- Extensive knowledge of construction equipment with an advanced understanding of schematics and diagrams
- Must own tools applicable to position
- Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills
- Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.
