Job Summary
Perform maintenance and repairs on complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems for rental and customer equipment using independent judgment. Travel to job sites for repairs when required, maintain service vehicle standards, and assist in training lower-level technicians. Document work orders electronically daily and manage equipment pick-up and delivery of parts. This role supports the Service Department within United Rentals, the world's largest equipment rental provider, offering potential for leadership advancement.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
- 5+ years of experience repairing/maintaining equipment and tools
- Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools
- Extensive knowledge of construction equipment with an advanced understanding of schematics and diagrams
- Must own tools applicable to position
- Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs
- Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills
