Job Summary
Performing diagnostic tests on diesel engines and interpreting results; inspecting and repairing diesel vehicle systems including suspensions, steering, exhausts, transmissions, brakes and engines; test driving to gauge performance; maintenance tasks such as oil changes, wheel balancing, alignment, and brake checks; maintaining parts inventory and servicing records; interpreting work orders and diagnostic results; writing inspection reports and repair plans; presenting reports to clients and advising on repair options and costs; using power, machine, and hand tools safely; following all shop regulations.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED certificate
- Valid driver's license
- Clean MVR
- Experience with diesel engine repair
- Basic computer skills
- Basic math skills
