Job Summary
Maintain and repair diesel and non-diesel equipment, including chassis components, refuse bodies, control systems, hydraulic and electrical systems, air brake systems, and HVAC components. Perform preventative maintenance, line maintenance welding and fabrication, and basic tire work such as replacement and tread depth checks. Diagnose multi-system malfunctions using electronic tools and safely provide road service to return company equipment to operation. Work a regular shift supporting drivers on routes while completing applicable company training programs.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to diagnose multi-system issues
- Consistently demonstrate technical expertise
- Basic understanding of work order labor time standards
- Prior experience with, or knowledge of, maintenance work to be performed on Classes 1-5 light/medium duty and heavy-duty Class 7-8 trucks, aircraft, or ships
- 3-5 Years of experience in a technician position demonstrating knowledge of both gasoline and diesel-powered equipment diagnosis and repair
- Graduating from an accredited automotive college or technical school within the next 3 months
- Valid Driver's License
