Job Summary
Experienced Technician I at Penske: perform preventive maintenance and repairs on a diverse fleet, lead and mentor others, diagnose problems and complete maintenance tasks using Penske tools, with training through Penske’s Technician Certification Program. Responsibilities include servicing engines, transmissions, differentials, and related systems, maintaining a clean, safe work area, logging repairs, and supporting a variety of OEM equipment. Schedule: Tuesday–Saturday 7:00 AM–3:30 PM at 231 65th St, Tuscaloosa, AL 35405.
Required Qualifications
- Experience as a diesel technician or mechanic with leadership/mentoring responsibilities preferred
- Ability to perform preventative maintenance and repairs on trucks and trailers
- Capability to diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, differentials, and related systems
- Proficiency with using diagnostic tools and Penske equipment
- Willingness to learn Penske’s technician training programs
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Schedule availability Tue-Sat 7am–3:30pm
