Job Summary
Complete quality preventative maintenance inspections and repairs on company-owned equipment, including tractors, trailers, and refrigerated units. Disassemble, repair, and reassemble heavy truck and trailer components such as diesel engines, transmissions, axles, and refrigerated units. Inspect, analyze, troubleshoot, and diagnose minor and complex repairs while performing tire maintenance, failure analysis, and coding. Utilize diagnostic software and repair manuals to fill tags and repair orders according to OEM, DOT, and Swift specifications.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Drivers License
- Comprehensive Background Check
- Pre-employment Hair Test drug screening
- 2+ years' experience with on the job training or diploma in vehicle maintenance from vocational or trade school
- Must possess the tools required to accomplish the essential job results required
- Demonstrated/proven superior customer service skills
- Ability to read and understand repair manuals, understanding and ability to complete/fill tags and repair orders
- Ability to use and learn various diagnostic software used on tractor/trailers
