Job Summary
Perform routine maintenance on heavy-duty trucks and trailers, including fluid and filter services, brake inspections, and identifying potential issues before they become major repairs. Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using modern diagnostic software to repair or replace components such as engines, transmissions, brake systems, HVAC systems, and suspension. Safely operate hydraulic lifts, pneumatic tools, and welders while following all company safety procedures. Clearly communicate repair findings and accurately document inspections, diagnostics, and parts used. This full-time role offers steady hours with occasional field service work at our Waterman or DeKalb locations.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of mechanical experience
- Completion of a related mechanical training program
- Valid driver's license
- Proficiency with mechanical and computerized diagnostic equipment
- Strong work ethic
- Reliability
- Attention to detail
Desired Qualifications
- Experience as a truck or diesel technician
- ASE certifications
- CDL
