Job Summary
Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on diesel equipment, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and hydraulic systems. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and fuel issues by reading service manuals and schematics. Repair and replace components while conducting inspections to identify equipment problems. Execute welding and fabrication as needed and maintain accurate service records. Follow all safety procedures and keep the work area clean.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Diesel Mechanic or Heavy Equipment Mechanic
- Strong diesel engine diagnostic and repair experience
- Knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair heavy-duty equipment
- Experience with preventative maintenance
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desired Qualifications
- Welding/fabrication experience preferred
