Job Summary
Inspect, operate, and conduct thorough testing of engines, electrical systems, cranes, and heavy machinery to diagnose malfunctions and ensure optimal functionality. Repair, replace, and install equipment including engines, navigational systems, pumps, hydraulics, and crane components. Adhere to a detailed monthly maintenance schedule to perform preventive and corrective maintenance, minimizing downtime. Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, assess system performance, and determine corrective actions while ensuring compliance with quality standards and safety protocols. Travel to jobsites as needed and work in diverse weather conditions and water-based environments.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Experience with heavy equipment, PMs (Preventive Maintenance), and repair.
- Willingness to travel if needed.
- Truck ASE certificate.
- Ability to work on a variety of equipment.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Ability to read/comprehend written and oral instructions in English, including safety rules, operating procedures, manuals, etc.
- Ability to complete tasks and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
- Steel toe boots are required.
- Travel to jobsites is required.
Desired Qualifications
- Welding skills are preferred.
- CDL A is a plus.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and blueprints is a plus.
