Job Summary
Diesel Mechanic needed to perform disassembly, assembly, testing, and repairs on diesel-powered equipment. Requires broad mechanical knowledge, hydraulics and electrical systems familiarity, and basic computer skills (MS Office). Must read, write, and speak English clearly, follow directions, and communicate effectively with team members, customers, and third parties. Willingness to travel to other offices/sites, work long hours in varying weather, and in remote locations. Rotating assignments across WV, PA, and OH with housing and per diem provided; ability to travel and stay overnight as needed. Tools must be owned by the applicant and valid driver’s license required. Prior experience levels include Mechanic 1/2/3 with competency requirements; preferred qualifications include CDL Class A, military service, and advanced experience with frac pump/blender components and electric over hydraulic/air systems.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid state-issued driver’s license
- Own tools
- Level 2 Internal Applicants: 6+ months’ experience as a Mechanic 1 or 6+ months as Mechanic 2 (per competency requirements)
- External Applicants: 1+ years’ mechanical experience in troubleshooting, repairing, rebuilding, and inspecting hydraulic/electrical equipment; overhauling engines and transmissions
- Level 3 Internal Applicants: 6+ months’ experience as a Mechanic 2; External: 5+ years’ mechanical experience
- CDL with manual shift (preferred for Level 3)
- HS Diploma or GED
- Technical institute certification/degree in Maintenance or Repair (preferred)
