Job Summary
Maintain and repair diesel and non-diesel equipment, including chassis components, refuse bodies, control systems, and air brake systems. Perform preventative maintenance, light engine work, and line maintenance welding while diagnosing malfunctions using electronic tools. Conduct basic tire work such as replacement and tread depth checks. Safely provide road service to return company equipment to operation. Complete applicable training programs and perform other job-related duties as assigned. Work a regular 2nd shift from 3:00 PM to Monday through Friday.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 Years of experience in a technician position demonstrating knowledge of both gasoline and diesel-powered equipment diagnosis and repair
- Graduating from an accredited automotive college or technical school within the next 3 months
- Valid Driver's License
- Ability to perform basic inspections with limited supervision in some (not all required) of the following heavy truck, or automotive systems: suspensions & steering; general engine, transmissions, brakes, electrical, hydraulics, drive train, diesel emissions
Desired Qualifications
- Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certifications (T1-T8)
- Commercial Driver's License
