Job Summary
Perform complex diagnostics, service repairs, and maintenance work on customer and dealer-owned equipment, including small engines, agricultural machinery, and other market equipment. Diagnose and troubleshoot using diagnostic tools while completing all tasks safely, professionally, and in a timely manner. Daily duties include customer contact, assembling components, and performing maintenance functions. The role requires owning and maintaining personal tools, working a flexible schedule including Saturdays as needed, and responding to after-hour calls. Candidates must possess strong oral communication skills and basic computer proficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Must own and maintain their own tools
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to assemble and perform maintenance functions
- Able to work a varying work schedule/shift and be flexible to respond to after-hour calls
- Strong customer service skills
- Excellent oral communication and written skills
- Strong organizational skills
- A minimum of 2-3 years' experience as a mechanic working on small engines, diesel and gas engines, and small handheld components
- Experience with John Deere Equipment
- High school diploma or GED

- Ability to use hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard and telephone
- Close vision requirements
