Job Summary

Inspect and maintain trucks by performing diagnostic testing, engine tune-ups, oil changes, tire rotations, and brake adjustments. Repair mechanical and electrical system malfunctions, replace components, and address body damage based on driver complaints. Install repairs on diesel truck engines, overhaul systems, and service air conditioners and brake components. Conduct routine DOT inspections, test drive vehicles, and review work orders with the Fleet Manager. Follow checklists to ensure thorough examinations and provide road repairs as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Two (2) or more years experience working on diesel trucks/vehicles
  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures within the truck maintenance field
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Able to lift 50lbs. frequently, up to 100lbs. occasionally
  • Able to bend, stand, walk, sit, push, and pull
  • Able to stand on feet for majority of shift
  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer including keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment
  • Must be comfortable using Microsoft suite (word, email, data entry)
  • Monday - Friday 7:00am - 4:00pm

Desired Qualifications

  • Possesses a Motor Vehicle Mechanic Certification is highly preferred
  • Possesses a Medium/Heavy Truck Technician Certification (Diesel Engines) is preferred
  • CDL A-B with Hazmat endorsement is preferred
  • Certified Heavy-Duty Diesel mechanic with Hazmat
  • Engine Performance & Brakes Certification is preferred
