Job Summary
Perform vehicle maintenance, repair, and standard component inspections on heavy-duty vehicles. Diagnose mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic computers, identify root causes of failures, and replace defective parts as instructed. Execute preventive maintenance tasks including oil changes, brake work, and tire service. Interact with customers and drivers to determine complaint nature, utilize the Shop Management System for electronic documentation, and adhere to all federal, provincial, and corporate compliance guidelines. Conduct facility maintenance and support operations as required. Requires a valid CDL Class A or ability to obtain one within six months, with a second shift schedule from 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm.
Required Qualifications
- Basic tools
- Demonstrated aptitude and applied experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines
- Routine preventative maintenance
- oil changes

- Two (2) years or more of a combination of classroom training and work experience
- Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) CLASS A
- Must be able to obtain CDL within 6 months after hire
- Pass a Ryder Drug Test
- Pass a DOT physical
- Pass a Ryder road test
- Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years

- Vocational or Technical Certification
- Post Secondary degree
- Technical Certifications
- Two (2) years or more of a combination of classroom training and work experience in required experience
